In the present study, sudden mortalities were reported due to pneumonia in four neonatal camels (5 to 10 days old) of an organized dromedary camel farm. The clinical manifestations in affected camels were weakness, mild to high fever, not suckling, respiratory distress, and sudden death. On the basis of gross and histopathological lesions, the pneumonia was classified into bronchopneumonia (n = 2), bronchointerstitial pneumonia (n = 1), and interstitial pneumonia (n = 1). In bacterial culture, Klebsiella pneumoniae was isolated from lung of all the four cases. These bacteria were also confirmed by PCR from DNA isolated from culture as well as lung tissue. The sequencing of PCR products from four isolates of K. pneumoniae revealed homology with other pathogenic K. buy Trolox pneumoniae isolates from India and other countries. These findings confirmed the role of K. pneumoniae as an important etiological agent for causing pneumonia with sudden mortalities in suckling neonatal dromedary camels. The authors would like to replace 2 small sections of the published manuscript that refer to a qualitative review of safety data for included studies (together with an associated safety table), to provide some further clarifications on these safety data and to include some quantitative updates for rates. We describe an iterative three-phase approach used to develop a cancer survivorship health-coaching intervention to guide self-management and follow-up care for post-treatment breast, colorectal, and prostate cancer survivors. Informed by theory (e.g., Cognitive-Social Health Information Processing Model (C-SHIP)), relevant literature, and clinical guidelines, we engaged in a user-centered design process. In phase I, we conducted depth interviews with survivors of breast (n = 34), prostate (n = 4), and colorectal (n = 6) cancers to develop a health coaching prototype. In phase II, we utilized user-testing interviews (n = 9) to test and refine the health coaching prototype. For both phases, we used a template analysis independently coding each interview. In phase I, majority (n = 34, 81%) of survivors were positive about the utility of health coaching. Among these survivors (n = 34), the top areas of identified need were emotional support (44%), general health information (35.3%), changes in diet and exercise (29.3%), accountability and motivation (23.5%), and information about treatment effects (17.7%). The prototype was developed and user-tested and refined in phase III to address the following concerns (1) the amount of time for calls, (2) density of reading materials, (3) clarity about health coaches' role, (4) customization. Collectively, this resulted in the development of the Extended Cancer Educational for Long-Term Cancer Survivors health-coaching (EXCELSHC) program, which represents the first cancer survivorship follow-up program to support follow-up care designed-for-dissemination in primary care settings. EXCELSHC is being tested in a clinical efficacy trial. Future research will focus on program refinement and testing for effectiveness in primary care.Sun exposure in childhood is a major risk factor for the development of skin cancer as an adult. School children spend much of their time outdoors exposed to ultraviolet radiation during recreational and sports activities. Skin cancer incidence tripled from 1978 to 2002 in Spain. Andalusia, the largest and sunniest region of Spain, lacks data on the sun protection measures taken in schools. To address this deficit, the aim of this study was to determine photoprotection practices and policies in preschools and primary schools in Andalusia. This descriptive study involved the administration of an online questionnaire completed by principals regarding school sun protection policies and practices. Preschool and primary schools were selected from the database of the Ministry of Education of the Andalusian Regional Government. Information of interest included photoprotection policies, students' sun protection knowledge, sun protection measures, relevant curricular content, and availability of shade at the school. Aalusian preschools and primary schools to develop policies and strategies to help reduce children's sun exposure while at school.Due to prolonged survival and the relatively young median age of patients, the quality of life (QOL) of breast cancer survivors is an important issue in Korea. We conducted an educational program for breast cancer survivors, and evaluated its impact on knowledge, QOL, and lifestyle changes. This study utilized a single-arm pretest-posttest design. Participants were tested before and after an educational program to measure changes in knowledge. To measure QOL change, we conducted a QOL survey at the time of enrollment and again 6 months later. Regarding the knowledge test, mean scores increased from 9.62 to 14.74 points following education (p  less then  0.001). After 6 months, 97 patients completed the QOL survey and the data were analyzed, showing significant improvements in anxiety (p = 0.021), depression (p = 0.003), functional well-being (p = 0.005), and breast cancer subscales of the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast Cancer (FACT-B) (p  less then  0.001). Additionally, the rates of adequate exercise significantly improved (p  less then  0.001), while rates of alcohol consumption and second cancer screening did not significantly change. One educational program session can improve patient knowledge, QOL, and psychosocial well-being, but is insufficient to achieve significant changes in health behavior. Background The drug-related problem classification system of the Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe (PCNE) is well established and continuously updated. A translated version of the drug-related problem classification system can facilitate research and implementation of clinical pharmacy services in the corresponding countries. Aim This study aimed to translate and validate the current version 9.00 into German language. Method The forward-backward translation method was used to translate the English version 9.00 into German language. Validation was done with 20 patient cases. Consistency was calculated in percentage and compared to international results. Results Translation of the classification system yielded in a German version. Validation was done with 32 pharmacists and 20 patient cases. In the five primary domains, average consistencies of 77.3% (problem), 57.8% (cause), 57.4% (intervention), 74.5% (acceptance) and 74.9% (status) were achieved. Ambiguities were found in some patient cases, as raters came to differing but plausible codes.
